We built a Social Progress Index for the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham to identify trends and issues such as domestic violence, fuel poverty, and more and create a plan of action that improved the community's wellbeing.
Using the Social Progress Index and other data sources, the borough identified the families with food insecurity and at risk of homelessness and created the "Community Food Club." In the first six months, the initiative helped prevent 50 families from becoming homeless. The program's success led to expansion into two other neighborhoods.

The London Borough of Barking & Dagenham improved outcomes in all the 17 wards over a period of six years of intervention using the Social Progress Index.
