First of its kind measure of the social progress impact of climate change. By Measuring CO2 emissions per capita, material consumption per capita, and biodiversity, we see that the countries that perform well on the Just Transition Score have more sustainable social progress.
Our research intends to answer the question of whether it is possible to make real human progress – to lift millions of people out of poverty and create equitable well-developed societies – without increasing carbon emissions beyond sustainable levels?
In collaboration with the Luton Council, Impera Analytics and the Social Progress Imperative built the Luton Social Progress Index across the 20 wards to improve their residents' wellbeing, track progress, and support their Luton 2040 Ambition.
The OC Equity Map, developed for the county’s health agency, harnesses the Social Progress Index framework to monitor the social determinants of health, crime, and other disparities within neighborhoods across Orange County, California.
